ABOUT Michele

As the founder of My Oven Mitt, I have carried a passion for the culinary arts for many decades. I have cooked since I was tall enough to reach the stove, and baking quickly grew into a personal passion at an early age. I experimented tirelessly for techniques and ingredients that met my standards, and baked for every available occasion. I began selling my cakes and cookies over fifteen years ago, and began teaching at a local culinary school shortly afterward. My love of creating delicious food led me to Ireland’s beloved Ballymaloe Cookery School, where I dedicated three months to their intensive professional certification course, and took my culinary passions to another level.

I began My Oven Mitt with its focus on cookies. Cookies that I have spent years crafting to be a deliciously unique sugar cookie, with a set of designs that will compliment just about any occasion or season. This recipe, baked with high quality ingredients and loved by my customers, family, and friends alike, reflects every bit of love and dedication that I have for this craft. Over time, I may grow my business to include catering and classes - so keep in touch!
